Thanksgiving

Man it seems like it is taking forever to hit the present time to blog.  I am only to November. Man on Man.   So Thanksgiving my kids, darla, and me headed up to Missouri on a Friday so they could meet my dad and stepmom Jeanie.  We stayed there a few days. The kids had a great time.  They played, watched movies on HUGE TVS, ate, rode the four wheeler, and plum feel in love with Grandma and Grandpa Matthews.

Before anyone says anything or calls Child protective services. We found him like this.

Doing what the girls do best.  Wrestling with Grandpa

Then on Monday we headed to my Aunt Gails house. I am named after her and have a very close relationship. I LUV HER! I knew my girls would LUV her too.  We met my mom and family up there.  then after that a slew of aunts, uncles, and cousins all came. Reeve and Tesi loved meeting all the new people. I think it became a bit over whelming for Millie as I found her playing in the closet.  However Tesi and her did fall in love with the dollhouses that my aunt had.  They would play with them for hours and you would not hear a peep. Reeve just loved going around the house and wrapping everyone around his finger with his cuteness. Since I am a control freak, I got to control the menu and eat all my favorite Thanksgiving food.
Very brave Aunt Gail.  Those girls made you up and you wore it proudly.  Way to go. Better woman than I am.
Ross doing what he does best.  Eating and staying skinny.  I swear there is a tape worm

Told ya wrapping everyone around his finger.
Girls making crafts with my role model Susie. Seriously would love to be like this lady. Love ya Susie

 Reeve entertaining the masses

The entertained themselves for hours doing this

Well I am getting closer and closer. I will soon be in December and hopefully it will be down hill from there. I am ready to start blogging about the present.

Super Duper Halloween

Yall know that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I mean I love this holiday and kids just make it that much better!  I even decorated the girls room and I just love everything about it.  So as we went to the various stores to pick out everyone Halloween I was so excited!! I am looking Cleopatra for Tesi and a Southern Belle for Millie...I turn around with the perfect outfit only to find my girls look at me like I turned around with dog poop costumes.  Okay Amanda ....you have had your Halloweens...let go of the control.  So I ask...What do you want to be?  Every last one of them picked super heros.  I look back and think that it was very appropriate what they picked. Each of us need a super hero this year.  My kids were certainly my super hero this year. They saved me...I love them so much.

Field Trip

Each grade at the girls school only gets one field trip.  Tesi's field trip was at the beginning of the year.  We went to see the play "Alexander and no good terrible very bad day"  I loved it. I love the theater! It was right up my alley. I loved that I got to share my love for the theater with Tesi.  Afterwards we went on a picnic at the local park.  It was a perfect day and I was grateful to spend the one on one time with Tesi.  In our busy family of five sometimes we dont get to spend one on one time that much.  I was one proud momma of what a lovely young lady Tesi is and that she is so respectful.

We got spirt yes we do!

The girls' school had a spirit week where every day they were suppose to dress as a different theme.  I just wanted to give a couple of pictures for documentation sake.

This is western day!  The thing that I thought was hilarious was I sent Milton to the store to by handkerchiefs for western day. He picked out one good and the other one made me laugh out loud.  Skulls!!! Millie rocked this look though!

 Twin day

Black and Gold day....perfect for some Saints fans.

Letha Visits and we rocked a Corn Maize

Because we are the only ones on Milton's side of the family that lives a distance, we do not get to see them a ton. We do see them at least once a year but even then the time is so little and we are busy doing things that I do not get to bond a ton with my nieces and nephews.  I am a horrible aunt/person and I am very forgetful on birthdays.  So when Kathy (milton sister) asked if Letha could come down I was so excited!  I was excited to have some special time with her and hopefully redeem myself from horrible auntdom (made that word up) She is such a special girl to me and you feel her humble and gentle spirt within moments of her presence.  It was nice to go shopping and see what fashions the kids are wearing these days, it was wonderful to talk, and just spend some one on one time with her.   While she was here we got Halloween manicures, went to a very cool pumpkin patch, ATE!!!, and shopped. Letha come back any time!!

 Welcome Letha!

 Dancin with cousin Letha

Getting ready to go to Yesterland Pumpkin Patch

This place is awesome! I will be going to place every year.  There are tons of rides, a little place to eat, games, and Pumpkins!!!
 Lost in the corn maize

Sisters!!! One of my favorite pictures of those two together

 Tesi doing the rock wall.

After Tesi did the rock wall Milton asked the worker if he could do it.  Milton got to the top but the whole thing was shaking and then as he scaled down the wall he almost took out a kid.  We got a couple of dirty looks. LOL!

Jazz hands.  LOL! I love love this picture of the kids

We are hot and sweaty.  That was the only thing that stunk! It was not fall weather

He loved this ride.  He belly laughed over and over again. I think he rode this ride 5 times.

The girls got brave enough to ride this by themselves.  They loved it

We ended the day with face painting.  I thought the ladies did such a good job and the girls loved looking at themselves in the mirror
